The Day I Wouldn't Sleep

(07/10/08) So Busy and Didn't Want to Miss a Thing!
Nana & I took Josiah out to many places today. We went to lunch with Aunt Drema at Cracker Barrel, to pick up bird seed at Southern States, to drop of dry cleaning at Abingdon Cleaners, to Walmart. Need I say more? So our little guy has gotten so interested in everything that is going on that he decides he doesn't want to miss anything. Nana says that if someone walked by him at Walmart and didn't speak he looked like he wondered why. I don't know how much truth is to that, but I do know that all throughout our "outtings" this child did not want to sleep. It was hard getting him to eat part of the time too because he was so busy. So by the end of the day he should've been spent, but here are some pictures of him still playing and having tons of fun with his "Nana".
"Drift Off to Sleepy Little One"
Nana was holding him in hopes that he would "drift off to sleep" when all of a sudden he was wide awake and wanting to put his fist into her mouth.

I didn't get a good picture of it, but as he would put his fist in Nana's mouth, she would laugh and then he would laugh. Of course this just made her laugh more and him laugh more. It was so sweet to watch their interaction. He is loving his Nana!

Oh How I Love You Nana!

Of course this just melted her heart and he stayed up playing with her and just looking up into her eyes...way past his bedtime. Okay, so what happens at Nana's stays at Nana's. I mean look at that face...

Fighting the sleep.

I will not go to sleep.

I will not miss anything.

Okay.

I give.

Off to "Never, Neverland" I go.

Nana later told Poppy & I that this evening was the probably the "sweetest" time she has ever spent with Josiah. He just melts your heart when he stares into your eyes and looks at your face and then smiles that beautiful smile. Or when he tries to talk to you as if the two of you are having a wonderful conversation.

"Precious boy" she says!
